Last weekend was Dapper Day at Disneyland. Dapper Day is an event that happens twice a year in Disneyland in which you are invited to dress up in your most ‘dapper’ attire at the park; it was inspired by the illustrations drawn by the park’s designers in the 1960’s which featured stylish, well-dressed people. This was our first year attending Dapper Day, and I loved it; I’ve always wanted to see people in their best attire at Disneyland. ;) To go along with the event, there was also a cocktail reception, a boutique which featured vintage pieces, and the opportunity to get a professional fashion illustration of our looks!
So, this is my look for Dapper Day, and this time I featured my other half, Andres, because his outfit was just ‘dapper.’ I went for a 1960’s bohemian look. I found this amazing vintage turban the night before at the boutique I just mentioned. I can’t get over how beautiful it is; I’m a sucker for hats like these. I added filters to two of the photos for a vintage feel; I attempted to make them look like editorial photos from an old fashion magazine. ;) Below is also a photo with our fabulous fashion illustration.
